Elisha at Cataract Falls — The Start of Our Discovery of Montana

Posted by John Mack on

Our experience at Cataract Falls in Montana lit a fire.

Before I (John) got a camera, hiking was never high on my list of must-do activities. Then, after we got our first DSLR camera, took it on an outing with friends, and accidentally snapped this photo... we realized the power of an interesting or emotional photograph.

This was just a short hike with some friends at a small waterfall on the Rocky Mountain Front in Montana but the intensity of what this photo communicates drove me to pursue photography more and more. Eventually, we both left our full-time careers to pursue more moments like this.

Cataract Falls helped start my State story!
